A couple of years before the trip, I had stumbled upon videos about Asia that got me curious. Singapore was at the top of my list, mainly because of all the buzz on sustainability. Then, I became interested in Thailand. I heard of its culture and how cheap it was to move around. A year before I graduated, I decided to save up money for the trip. At the time I thought it was a crazy idea. However, it was my family who encouraged me to do it. I told my cousins Viridiana and Joshua who were also graduating college, about my plans. Both of them eagerly signed up and were enthusiastic about the idea. The planning would take an entire year. Viridiana had but one request: to visit Disneyland in China. Joshua made it easier by saying he was down for anything. As I looked and suggested possible routes, we finally agreed on the countries we would visit. Singapore, Thailand, and China.
