Day 1
Dublin
Trinity College
Jameson museum- Cocktail Class
I drank a lot of water before going to the distillery. And I mean a lot. I had to prepare my body for this, especially since the night was going to end with a pub crawl. We had reservations for a cocktail-making class, and our maestro was hilarious. I couldn’t always understand what he was saying, but that somehow made it even funnier. He kicked things off with a shot of whiskey, then taught us how to properly drink it. While doing that, he started making a fruit punch, casually adding a bottle and a half of Jameson before putting it on to heat. Next, we made a blueberry margarita… I think? And finally, an Old Fashioned. At the end, he took us to the bar and sent us off with a cup of the warm fruit punch he’d made

Day 2
Cliffs of Moher
The wind was strong, but our tour guide, Gina, said we were in luck. Many people make it to the cliffs and aren’t able to see anything at all. Gina was great, and we all had good craic, which means fun, not the drug “crack,” even though they’re pronounced the same. She jokingly added that if we were looking for that, Dublin would probably be the place. At one point, we even sang “Lisdoonvarna!”
As we drove from one destination to the next, Gina shared lots of history along the way. The cliffs themselves are absolutely breathtaking. If it weren’t for the cold, the wind, and the bus tour only allowing two hours to explore, I could have easily stayed three times as long. And if you’re a Harry Potter fan, you’ll recognize this spot as where “He Who Must Not Be Named” hid one of his Horcruxes.
