Danza

Traditional dances are very common in Mexico, and the Sierra Juarez in Oaxaca is no stranger to them. "Danza de los Cuerudos" is very popular and loved in the region. It is usually played by a philharmonic band in which eight members dance to the beat. 

There are many versions of this dance and origin. However, the meaning behind the dance is pretty similar in which it represents a time of colonization. Where the spanish discriminated against mestizos and black people.
